At 5:45 a.m., a person entered a home in the Wayland neighborhood by pushing open a first-floor window, police said. A key fob was taken from the kitchen area and the suspect was able to flee the scene with the homeowner's vehicle, police said.
A resident heard them as they were exiting the home and contacted police, officers said. Verona police contacted the state Auto Theft Task Force and two men in the vehicle were arrested in Irvington at 9:25 a.m., officers said. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
